What this is
This is a small website for the people who live at Plainsmen Apartments in Vancouver, WA. It's two things: a friendly front page about the building, and a private community board where neighbors can post announcements, events, things to give away or sell, recommendations, and lost-and-found.
Who runs it
Hi — I'm Erin, and I live in Unit C. I put this together for us as a neighbor, on my own time. It's unofficial. It is not run by, or an official channel of, the property owner or management company, and nothing here is an official notice from them. For lease, rent, repair, or legal matters, always go through official management.
Community board house rules
- ✅ Be kind and neighborly. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated.
- ✅ Keep it relevant to our building and neighborhood.
- 🚫 No harassment, hate, threats, or naming-and-shaming.
- 🚫 No spam, scams, or outside soliciting.
- 🚫 Don't post anyone's private info (phone, unit, schedule) without their OK.
- 🛠️ I (Erin) can remove posts that break these rules.
Your privacy
The board is intentionally simple. You don't make an account — there's one shared building passcode. When you post, the site stores your category, title, message, and the name you type (you can leave it as "A neighbor"). It also keeps a one-way scrambled fingerprint of your connection purely to slow down spam — not to identify you. Anything you post is visible to other residents who have the passcode, so don't share anything you wouldn't want neighbors to see. Want a post taken down? Ask Erin in Unit C.
